Brigid Schulte, Director, Better Life Lab

Brigid Schulte worked at newspapers in Wyoming and South Carolina before becoming a national correspondent for Knight-Ridder, then worked at the Washington Post for nearly 20 years and was part of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage of the Virginia Tech massacre.

Schulte’s book on time pressure and gender was a New York Times bestseller. She now directs the journalism-focused Better Life Lab at New America, a nonpartisan think tank, focusing on gender equality, work-life and social policy issues. She created our own Better Life Lab Channel first on Slate, now on a variety of publications and hosts the Better Life Lab podcast, on the art and science of living a full life, which hit the Apple Top 50 on the podcast charts.
